We have spent years building a verified archive of women’s lived experiences within motorcycle culture—an area historically underrepresented in institutional collections.

What we Publish;

Glorification
Sensationalism
Club names
Trademarked or protected Images
The Ol’ Lady Archive will never:
Sell your story to third parties as standalone content
License your contribution for unrelated commercial use
We will NEVER Use your contribution in a way that knowingly puts you at risk

Withdrawal or Changes
You may request:
Corrections to factual errors at any time
Removal of your contribution before publication
After publication, removal may not always be possible, but we will make reasonable efforts to honor serious concerns.

Contributor Agreement
By submitting your story as a contributor to The Ol’Lady Archive.
You agree to the following;
1. Who This Agreement Is Between
This agreement is between:
You (the contributor of stories, photographs, or other materials), and
The Ol’ Lady Archive (the project and publishing entity behind www.theolladyarchive.com).
2. What You Are Contributing
You are voluntarily sharing one or more of the following (“your contribution”):
Written stories or interviews
Photographs or personal images
Captions, letters, or related materials
Audio or video recordings (if applicable)
You confirm that:
These materials are yours to share, or
You have permission from anyone else who appears in or owns them.
3. How Your Contribution May Be Used
By submitting your contribution, you give The Ol’ Lady Archive permission to:
Publish your work in printed books
Publish your work on websites or digital archives
Include your work in exhibits, presentations, or educational materials
Use excerpts for promotion of the project (never out of context)
This permission is non-exclusive, meaning:
You still own your story and may share it elsewhere if you choose.
4. Name, Credit, and Privacy (Your Choice)
You choose how you are identified:

☐ Use a pseudonym
☐ Publish anonymouslyWe will honor your choice exactly as stated and will not reveal your identity beyond it.
5. Editing & Context
We may lightly edit for:
Clarity
Length
Grammar
We will not:
Change the meaning of your story
Add facts you did not provide
Sensationalize or romanticize your experience
If significant edits are needed, we will contact you first.
6. Sensitive Content & Respect
We understand many stories include difficult experiences.
We commit to:
Treating your contribution with dignity and care
Avoiding glorification of harm, violence, or illegal activity
Preserving the truth and complexity of lived experience
7. Withdrawal or Changes
You may request:
Corrections to factual errors at any time
Removal of your contribution before publication
After publication, removal may not always be possible, but we will make reasonable efforts to honor serious concerns.
8. Compensation (If Applicable)
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
Contributions are voluntary and unpaid
Contributors may receive:
A copy of the published book, or
Contributor acknowledgment, or
Other agreed recognition
(Any future paid opportunities will be discussed separately.)
9. What We Don’t Do
The Ol’ Lady Archive will never:
Sell your story to third parties as standalone content
License your contribution for unrelated commercial use
Use your contribution in a way that knowingly puts you at risk
10. Final Understanding
By submitting your contribution, you confirm that:
You have read and understood this agreement
You are sharing your story voluntarily
You understand how it may be used
